What the register is
MiCA, the EU's Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation, sets one licence for crypto firms across the European Union, Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway. A firm applies to the regulator of the country where it is based, its home country. Once licensed, it may serve clients in other member countries too, after its regulator tells theirs: the column "May also serve" counts those countries.
The transition ended on 1 July 2026. Since then, a firm that is not on the register may not offer crypto services in the EU. ESMA, the EU's markets authority, collects the licences from national regulators and publishes them as a register; this page shows that register as ESMA gives it.
Banks, investment firms and other firms that already hold an EU licence can offer crypto services by notifying their regulator, without a new licence. They are on the register too.

What it does not tell you
A licence says a firm may offer these services. It does not say the firm is safe, solvent or a good choice. ESMA keeps a separate list of firms that regulators have warned about, and only some regulators feed it, so a firm missing from that list is not for that reason licensed. Check the register at ESMA, or the home regulator's own register, before you rely on a firm.
