These terms apply when you use macronotebook.com. By reading the site you accept them. When you sign in, you accept them in so many words.
The site
The Macro Notebook publishes notes on money, power and markets. It is run by one person. You can reach the owner at hello@macronotebook.com.
Your account
- You sign in with a link we email you. Anyone who can read your email can sign in as you, so keep your email account safe.
- One account per person. You must be at least 16 years old.
- You can delete your account at any time on your Saved page.
- We may close an account that is used to misuse the site, for example to send sign-in emails to other people.
Using what you read
The text and the charts belong to The Macro Notebook. You may read them, link to them and quote short parts with a link to the source. Do not copy whole articles or publish them elsewhere without permission. Photos are public domain or CC0 and carry their own credit. Data from other sources keeps its owners' terms, and each item links to them.
Not investment advice
Nothing on this site is investment advice, a recommendation or an offer to buy or sell anything. The pieces are analysis and opinion for general information, and they do not take your situation into account. Markets carry risk, and you can lose money. Do your own research and speak to a qualified adviser before you invest. Notes by the author say whether the author holds a position.
Accuracy
We check figures against their sources and link them where they are used. Mistakes can still happen, and stories can move faster than updates. When we change an article, it says so at the top, with the reason. The site is provided as it is, and as far as the law allows, we are not liable for losses from using it.
Changes to these terms
We may change these terms. The date at the top shows the last change. If a change matters, signed-in readers see a notice and must agree before they go on using their account. If you do not agree, you can delete your account.
